To be held at our new THE EDIBLE FLOWER GARDEN in Budleigh Salterton, Devon EX9. THIS COURSE IS FOR 16th JUNE 2026. (There is some flexibility in this though so if you and three friends wanted to come down and make a weekend of it then call Jan (07935268744) and we can find an alternative date to visit which suits all and run the course specifically for you. The cost is £100 per person. Format of the day comprises: 9.45 Arrive for tea/coffee 10-12 Discussion on edible flower drying techniques techniques and what works best for different applications, touching on food hygiene,preservation and shelf life. 10-45 Coffee and brownies - you get to decorate your own. 12.00 Please bring your own packed lunch to enjoy in our gardens or conservatory. 12.45  Exploratory session in our brand new garden which was completely devoid of any wildlife when we moved in in August 2022. We can see what we have achieved in our very new edible flower garden  in our third summer year at our new garden site.We'llick some edible flowers and see which dry best using which drying/pressing techniques. 3.30 Questions about organic growing and edible flowers for those that want to hang around for a while with Jan Billington. 4pm departure or you can join us and the pups (three naughty Jack Russells for a walk along the brand new River Otter 55 hectare rewilding project) - takes about an hour and requires stout shoes). This course is limited to 6 people. A selection of our finest Spring edible flowers hand pressed and ready for you to decorate your celebration cakes. Our £30 Spring pack comprises three packs of pressed edible flower and leaves totally a minimum of 25 pieces plus a few spares. The Spring pack comprises primroses, primula, wild rocket, calendula, edible ferns, bells daisies, violas and violets. The flowers at this time of year are smaller and more dainty and utterly beautiful.
